Why Chance to Play Trip makes a Difference
Support Environmental and Development Sustainability
Each C2P outreach trip takes place in a community where our organization has been historically provided sustainable development to work. Partnering with Canadian Soccer Clubs, donated soccer uniforms, balls and other gear are delivered to children and youth in socioeconomic areas, providing alternative outlets.
Volunteering on a Chance to Play trip, you support outgoing soccer programming in low income communities and neighbourhoods. The largest hurtle for children and youth is education, food security, water, health, and equality in income for parents. Allowing children and youth to play soccer, keeps them off the street, out of gangs, and in school. Your volunteer work is driven by the community and its needs. You will work along side soccer coaches in assisting in practices, games, mentoring and leadership programs.
Meet and work with community soccer coaches and community member to learn and understand their culture with is joys and challenges. Expand your worldview by experiencing culture, language, and customs. Through hands on work experience, gain empathy, compassion, and empathy for the different cultures and environment.
Bring your passion for soccer and outreach back to your community and school. With the guidance, Chance to Play, will provide support and training to bring your message to other soccer players, clubs, schools, organizations, and corporations to bring awareness on our environmental responsibility of waste and how Canadian’s can work together so long term change in Canada and around the world.
